OSAKA FUJI Corporation has applied its technologies to a variety of industrial fields in addition to the steel, paper, and energy fields. These fields are wide-ranging and include aerospace, where we have obtained a unique quality standard, as well as the construction and IT semiconductor fields.
This page introduces ways in which our thermal spraying business technologies have been applied in the aerospace and construction industries.
Processing aerospace components (thermal spraying)
No. A4210-JISQ9100 Aerospace Quality Management System certification obtained
Aircraft technology requires absolute safety and reliability. In recent years aircraft jet engines with a maximum operating temperature of 1600°C have been commercialized. As a result of this innovation, the precision required of thermal barrier coatings has increased to make it possible to protect component parts from even harsher environments and maintain part lifetimes.
Heat chamber and turbine blades
Heat chambers and turbine blades are components that comprise the heart of an airplane - the engine.
A heat chamber is comprised of a compressor, which compresses air, and a combustion chamber, which mixes compressed air with fuel, causing the fuel to explode and combust. As blade wear in the compressor and corrosion due to gasoline in the combustion chamber are common, thermal spraying is often used.
Thermal spraying is also used to protect turbine blades from damage caused by high-temperature gas flow and blades wearing each other out.

Landing gear
"Landing gear" refers to the three takeoff and landing apparatus at the front and rear of an airplane that are used for takeoff and landing. The landing gear is comprised of legs, wheels, and a brake system. Landing gear is designed so that the tires will be automatically deployed in the event of loss of power or an oil pressure malfunction.
Landing gear leg components experience wear due to repeated raising and lowering of the tires. Therefore, thermal spraying is employed to increase wear-resistance.
