- The company enters the silicon single crystal processing business. OCC continuous casting technology is introduced.

- Material Center is formed at 1 Hama, Amagasaki-shi, Hyogo Prefecture, and OCC Division and new building material (metal cardboard) departments are moved to the new facility.
